Professor Jens Wendland, Cultural and Media Science specialist, Lecturer at the University of the Arts and Humboldt University, Berlin, talks to DOC TV about the Digital Dialogue of Civilizations and digitalisation in societies today.
His new initiative – Digital Dialogue – focuses on the challenges and benefits that digitisation can bring to our societies. He notes that we are currently seeing our societies become increasingly atomised, and it is in that context that digitisation is poised to play a key role in our future development and in ensuring mutually beneficial interaction and development.
He highlights the challenges posed by both the further advances in AI, and cyber threats, and notes the key role that scientists have in informing society about digitisation.
