DOC Research Institute joins United Nations Global Compact, New York


With its participation at the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) the Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute (DOC) joins a global network of 13,000 companies and organisations in 170 countries and demonstrates support of the network’s efforts to promote socially responsible policies.

“By participating at the UN Global Compact we express our willingness to engage with the network through the following activities: Promoting the UN Global Compact’s ten principles, and educating social, political, and business leaders, and academic institutions and audiences, about sustainability and governance; Building partnerships for corporate sustainability and engaging with other stakeholders; Engaging with UN Global Compact Local Networks and Hosting UN Global Compact events, ” says DOC CEO Pooran Chandra Pandey.

The UN Global Compact is the world´s largest initiative for responsible corporate leadership. The vision of the UN Global Compact is an inclusive and sustainable global economy.
The German Network consists of 350 companies and more than 50 organisations from civil society, academia, and the public sector and is mainly oriented towards practical learning and joint approaches to problem solving, to which the DOC would like to contribute.
