The Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute (DOC RI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations “Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly”, and an MoU with the Greek Eurasian Business Council during the 15th Annual Rhodes Forum taking place now on the Greek Island.
The MoU signed by Svetlana Smirnova, First Deputy Secretary-General, Eurasian Peoples’ Assembly and Grigory Levchenko, DOC RI Corporate Communications Director, takes into account the increasing role of integration processes on the Eurasian continent, as critical in the implementation of civil rights and the freedoms of citizens, and the political and social stability of states, by enhancing international security.
The signed MoU between DOC RI and the Greek Business Council focuses on the improvement of cultural, social, and economic cooperation and integration between the Eurasian Union, Eurasia as a whole, and Greece.
This year’s Rhodes Forum is comprised of overarching themes through which participants will explore social, economic, and political issues. In addition, two critical events will be the “Summit on Globalisation and the Future of Democracy”, and the “Summit on Global Infrastructure Development Scenarios: Where the Interests of Banks, Industries, Governments, and Societies Meet”. Experts from civil society, policy makers, and members of the business community will come together to discuss concepts, problems, and solutions to the summits’ themes.
The Rhodes Forum has convened each year since 2002, gathering between 300 and 600 participants annually from over 70 countries. Throughout its history, the hallmark of the Forum has been its pioneering spirit, inclusiveness, and the moral resilience of its participants in their work to tackle the most pressing global challenges of today.
