The Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute (DOC-RI) is currently finalising a digitalisation project mission statement formating a DOC – digital science community. This implies as well the formation of a digital science community, a 2018 Research Agenda and panel preparations for the Rhodes Forum 2018.
The digital science community workshop will then expand into a group that can provide advice and establish links with research institutions.
The DOC-RI’s digitalisation project examines the phenomena in terms of its transformation of communications, with research focusing on cybersecurity, big data, the impact of artificial intelligence, the future of work, and changes in the nature of globalisation.
The DOC has established joint research partnerships on digitalisation with the Communication University of China, Beijing, Humboldt University, Berlin, Moscow State University, Tsinghua University, the University of Cape Town, the University of Tampere, and the University of Westminster, London.
The head of the digital project is Jens Wendland, Professor at University of Arts, Berlin and foreign Professor at journalistic faculty of Lomonossov University, Moscow, who initiated the digitalization project in 2017.
