Jean-Christophe Bas, CEO of the Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute (DOC), on 5 February met Audrey Azoulay, Director General of UNESCO, in Paris.
DOC has a longstanding relationship with UNESCO, particularly in the fields of youth and education cooperation, which was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding.
Jean-Christophe Bas had the opportunity to brief her on the DOC and to discuss possible new developments for collaboration.
“As an organization dedicated to putting human, culture and civilisations at the heart of its work, the DOC attaches particular attention to its collaboration with UNESCO; we are looking forward to developing innovative projects with UNESCO under the new leadership of Mrs. Azoulay,” Jean-Christophe Bas said.
DOC and UNESCO have previously collaborated on developing programmes aimed at schoolchildren with a focus on fostering intercultural dialogues.
