“The DOC has the absolute conviction that culture and civilization is at the heart of the globalization process. Nothing can be done if this dimension is ignored. This is why there has been such a backlash against globalization because people feel like they have been left behind and that globalization is an economic, financial and trade process which ignores the cultural and human dimension. Responsible finance can contribute to culture. The DOC is aiming to bring all the stakeholders together and encouraging the financial community to invest in culture – culture being a driver, or an accelerator, of peace, stability and integration. The objective is to mainstream culture in the sustainable development agenda.”
