DOC CEO Jean-Christophe Bas spoke to Euronews’ Stefan Grobe for his State of the Union show.
They discussed the deal on the EU recovery package agreed at the marathon EU summit last week, and its implications for global relations.
Mr Bas said “this summit will significantly contribute to a new Europe at a time when there is no real leadership, where evidently the U.S. and China are weakened by the way this whole story unfolded.”
The EU summit agreed to an unprecedented 1.8 trillion Euro budget and coronavirus recovery fund after five days of negotiations.
