Non-Resident Senior Research Fellow, United Nations University. Andrés Solimano holds a PhD. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is the founder and chairman of the International Center for Globalization and Development (CIGLOB), formerly a Country Director at the World Bank, Executive Director at the Inter-American Development Bank, and directed the UNU-WIDER project ‘International Mobility of Talent’.
