Cédric Baecher is the co-founder and managing partner of Nomadéis (www.nomadeis.com), a consulting agency based in Paris and specializing in sustainability and international cooperation issues. Since 2002, he has led 500+ assignments in 50+ countries, working for governments, companies and NGOs. His key areas of expertise include the green economy (energy, climate, mobility, construction…), sustainable urbanization, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and new business models (circular economy, collaborative economy, positive economy). A member of the international reflection group on the positive economy, chaired by Jacques Attali, he co-authored a special report to the President of the French Republic, advocating for the development of an economy focused on altruism towards future generations. He serves as general rapporteur for the positive economy indexes, new tools to measure the sustainable performance of Nations, cities and corporations. Registered by the European Commission as an independent expert on green innovation (H2020), he is a fellow of the UN Alliance of Civilizations, the American Swiss Foundation and the Council for the US and Italy. He is also a trained auditor of the French Institute for Higher National Defense Studies (IHEDN), working on sovereignty and foreign policy issues related to oceans governance, marine resources and the blue economy, as well as an auditor of the National Institute of Labor and Vocational Training (INTEFP), working on issues related to social dialogue and the digital revolution. Both a French and Swiss citizen, he is fluent in French, English and Spanish.
