The term civilization is very fuzzy and if we are not able to define the borders of this term – in other words to say what civilisation is not – it is only an empty discussion. That is why it is vital to remember the main books that were devoted to the dialogue of civilizations. Francis Fukuyama is the author of The End of History and the Last Man. This book is very utopian, prophesying the end of history. Another book – very realistic – is The Clash of Civilizations by Samuel Huntington. So after more than twenty years we can see that Huntington was right and Fukuyama was wrong.
When discussing the various forms of civilizations, bear in mind that we may have a dialogue with vegetarians but we cannot have a dialogue with cannibals, because for cannibals we represent food and cannot discuss the topic what food is our favourite one with them, since we as partners are food for them. Do not discuss with cannibals, fight them.
