Samia Nkrumah, the first woman to head a Ghanaian political party, to attend Rhodes Forum 2018

Samia Nkrumah is a very well-known Ghanaian politician and is chairwoman of the Convention People´s Party. She is the founder of the Kwame Nkrumah Pan African Centre.

The organisation promotes Kwame Nkrumah’s vision, philosophy, and political culture within the context of a united Africa. The Kwame Nkrumah Pan African Centre, of which she is the executive director, is a not-for-profit organisation which advocates policies and legislation that will positively impact African lives. Amongst other things, the organisation assists in the provision of social and economic infrastructure in deprived urban and rural communities.

Samia Nkrumah believes in promoting peace through development and she will therefore make a great impact among the other speakers and participants at the Dialogue of Civilizations Rhodes Forum 2018, held in Greece from 5-6 October 2018.

First convened in 2003, the Dialogue of Civilizations Rhodes Forum brings together concerned members of the international political, business, civil society, and academic communities in a spirit of dialogue and inclusivity. Every year, hundreds of participants from more than 70 countries explore the major challenges facing the world and seek concrete, applicable solutions rooted in shared values of equality, mutual respect, and compassion.
