Biography

Mr. Daisuke Kotegawa has been a Research Counselor, Canon Institute for Global Studies since February 2011. Mr. Kotegawa has been a Special Advisor, legal firm at Atsumi & Sakai since 2011. He served as an Advisor of Next Capital Partners Co., Ltd. Mr. Kotegawa served as Assistant Manager, Ministry of Finance, Japan Financial Bureau since June 2007. He was also involved in setting up of IRCJ in 2003. Mr. Kotegawa served as In-charge of nationalization of Nippon Credit Bank and served as Department Chief at JFSA since 1998, liquidation of Sanyo Securities Co., Ltd and Yamaichi Securities Co., Ltd, Department Head at Security Bureau of the Finance Ministry since 1997. He has 32 year experience with Ministry of Finance Japan where he served as a Director General of Kanto Regional Finance Bureau from 2005 to 2006. He served as a Deputy Director-General, Minister’s Secretariat, Ministry of Finance since 2004, Deputy Director-General, International Bureau, Ministry of Finance since 2005 and Director-General, Kanto Local Finance Bureau, Ministry of Finance since 2006. He has been an External Director at SEKIDO Co., Ltd. since May 2012. He serves as a Member of the Advisory Board at J Trust Co., Ltd. He served as an Independent External Director of Ichigo Group Holdings Co., Ltd. He served as an Executive Director of IMF from 2007 to 2010. He served as Representative Director, IMF Japanese Government since July 2007. Mr. Kotegawa served as Director of Parco Co., Ltd. since May 2011. He has been External Auditor at Stream Co., Ltd. since April 2012. He holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University and holds a Bachelor in Law from Tokyo University.
