Irina Nikitina is a pianist, prize-winner at international music competitions. In 1995 she has founded the international Musical Olympus Foundation in Saint Petersburg. The International Musical Olympus Festival was the first successful project launched by the foundation. The Festival’s concerts are held in Saint Petersburg, New York Carnegie Hall, Tonhalle Zurich, the Esplanade in Singapore, in the Berlin Philharmonia and many other world’s most famous concert venues.
Irina Nikitina is a member of the Board of the Geza Anda International Piano Competition (Switzerland), the President of the Musical Olympus Foundation of New York (USA), Vice-president of the Associations of Friends of the Musical Olympus (Switzeland), Vice-president of the Foundation Saint Petersburg (Switzerland), founded for the support of the Special Lyceum at the St. Petersburg Conservatory, a member of the Advisory Board of the European humanitarian organization Civilizations Matter (Germany) and member of the Board of Trustees of the German-Russian Forum ‘The New Generation’, member of the Board of the Boris Eifman Foundation.
In 2001 Irina Nikitina was awarded with the National Award of Public Recognition of the Russian Women Achievements ‘Olympia’ ‘for outstanding achievements in promoting music in Russia and support of young Russian talents’. In 2013 at the National Press Center in Washington (USA) Irina Nikitina got the Silver Archer USA Award for establishing intercultural dialogue and strengthening the culture of partnership on a global level.
