Alain Bidjeck is an expert on African music and cultural industries. For 15 years, he has initiated and anaged numerous projects in France and Africa. He has created and managed several cultural companies including Orig’in Production; the consulting agency Bejika; and the Center of Cultures of Africa in Paris, which produces and support artists, entrepreneurs, and institutions in the development of African cultural industries.
Aware of the challenges faced by artists and entrepreneurs from African cultures in France, Bidjeck initiates and actively participates in the production of flagship events including MIDEM, the MOCA (Forum of Cultures of Africa), the MAMA Event, African Music Forum, and the Africaphonie Festival, in order to help them better understand the ecosystem in which they work, meet new partners, and create new business models. He also coordinates and develops the MIDEM African Forum in South Africa, Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Cameroon, and Nigeria.
