The event is devoted to the complex phenomenon of modern society. Researchers around the world are trying to identify the causes of extremist activity, describe the features of its manifestation, identify mechanisms for counteraction at different levels.

The aim of the round table is to try to expand the semantic field of this phenomenon, to see its features from the point of view of different cultures, associations, currents and practices. Representatives of science and religion sitting at one table in a spirit of dialogue will share their research experience and understanding of what extremism is and how it manifests itself in modern society, what are its negative consequences and prevention mechanisms. In the events will participate representatives of Tomsk State University, representatives and experts of the DOC Research Institute, representatives of various ethnic and religious associations are expected.

The round table is organized in the form of a dialogue, which begins with the opening speech of the key speakers.
