The Asia Pacific region is highly dynamic and interwoven, with changing power relations, strong economic links between the countries and numerous challenges that affect the whole region. India’s growing economic and political stature makes it well positioned to play a greater leadership role in the regional and the international arena, and to contribute to the region’s prosperity and stability. At the same time, in a contemporary globalised world, India’s efforts will depend to a large extent on the dynamics of global and regional developments, as well as its ability to both respond to its challenges at home, and to manage the economic and political relations with its neighbours.

During this event, former heads of governments, ministers, diplomats, policy makers, experts and other stakeholders will come together to present their views and exchange ideas on a broad range of issues related to India’s role in the region and the world, and prospects for political and economic integration in the region.

The event will be opened by Suresh Keswani and CEO of the Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute Jean-Christophe Bas who will present the Institute’s mission, objective and outreach plans.
