The paper deals with the involvement as a method of propagating political culture, including supra-national political culture. In the context of globalization – a process stripping national states of their ability to independently affect economic, financial and natural factors that influence national societies – the processes of integration play increasingly prominent role. At the same time, the problems that states face when choosing their integration strategies lie outside the boundaries of traditional foreign policy sphere. Difficulties resulting from this are analyzed. The case of the European integration is taken as an example.
