Irina Nikitina

    IRINA NIKITINA was born in St.-Petersburg, Russia. Graduated from St.Petersburg Conservatory as a pianist, continued her musical education in Prague and Bern.

    She is a prize winner of international music competitions in Geneva, Paris (Grand Prix) and Osaka,.
    Irina Nikitina is  the President of the Musical Olympus Foundation established upon her initiative in St.-Petersburg in 1995.The key projects of the Foundation include the International Musical Olympus Festival featuring prize winners of major music competitions, the International Charity Ball, concert activities with world most prominent artists, orchestras and performers..

    In 2001 Irina Nikitina was rewarded with “Olympia“, the first National Award of Public Recognition for women in Russia.

    In January 2013 Irina Nikitina got the Silver Archer USA Award for the Musical Olympus Foundation’s project aimed to establish intercultural dialogue by means of music, strengthen the partnership culture at a global level, support young gifted artists all around the world and create conditions for their professional representation.

    Ms. Nikitina has been ranked as Person of   the   Year   2013   in   the   area   of   academic music in Russia.

    In 2016 Irina Nikitina has started the Enigma Cycle at the TV Russia-Kultura: a series of interviews featuring world musical stars.

    Irina Nikitina is a member of the Board of the Geza Anda International Piano Competition of the Associations of Friends of the Musical Olympus (Zurich, Switzeland), Vice-president of the Foundation Saint Petersburg (Switzerland), founded by her initiative in for the support of the Special Lyceum at the St.Petersburg Conservatoire, a member of the Board of Civilizations Matter (Berlin) and  member of Honorary committee of the German-Russian Young Leaders Forum “The New Generation”. Since 2015 she is the Head of the Board of Trustees of the    International Television Contest for Young Musicians Nutcracker.
