Sebastian Vollmer


    Professor of Development Economics at the Centre for Modern Indian Studies of the University of Göttingen and Adjunct Professor of Global Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

    Sebastian Vollmer is Professor of Development Economics at the Centre for Modern Indian Studies of the University of Göttingen and Adjunct Professor of Global Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He studied Mathematics and Economics at the University of Göttingen and also received his PhD in Economics from the University of Göttingen. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies, Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at Dartmouth College and Assistant Professor of Development Economics at the University of Göttingen. He has served as a consultant for the World Bank, UNDP, UNAIDS, UNESCO, the Asian Development Bank and FAO.
